Our Story

Built for the Moment Before the Purchase

Khemloft was founded in Bangkok after its founders spent years working in operational and commercial roles across technology-dependent businesses. One pattern kept surfacing: organisations were spending significant money on software tools that nobody had properly evaluated — and dealing with vendor relationships that nobody was actively managing.

The problem wasn't a lack of information. It was a lack of structure. Teams would research tools on their own, each person reading different materials, and then meet to compare instincts rather than criteria. Vendors would offer demos shaped to impress rather than inform. Decisions would get made under time pressure, with the documentation happening — if at all — after the contract was signed.

Khemloft addresses that gap. We provide the structured process, the independent viewpoint, and the written output that helps a business move from a shortlist to a documented, defensible choice. We stay out of the transaction itself — no commissions, no referrals, no commercial interest in which product you select.

Our Mission

To help businesses in Thailand make technology purchasing decisions with confidence — using a process that is structured, even-handed, and straightforward to follow.

Our Position

We hold no commercial relationships with software vendors. Our advice is shaped entirely by the needs and criteria of the client organisation. That independence is non-negotiable.

Where We Work

Khemloft is based in Bangkok and primarily serves businesses operating in Thailand and Southeast Asia. We work in English across all engagements.

How We Work

Standards We Hold to on Every Engagement

Commercial Independence

We accept no payments, referral fees, or commercial benefits from software vendors. Every recommendation is shaped exclusively by the client's documented criteria.

Written Deliverables

All engagements produce written outputs — criteria lists, comparison frameworks, recommendation notes — that remain with the client after the work concludes.

Confidentiality

Client information, vendor shortlists, and internal documents shared during an engagement are treated as confidential and not disclosed outside the working relationship.

Criteria-Driven Process

We establish agreed criteria before comparing options. This keeps assessments consistent and prevents the comparison from drifting towards whoever gave the best demo.

Accessible Communication

Sessions and written materials are designed for a general business audience. We avoid technical shorthand unless the client specifically wants it included.

Scope Discipline

We work within agreed scope. If additional needs emerge during an engagement, we flag them clearly rather than expanding the work without discussion.

Expertise & Background

Technology Procurement Advisory in the Bangkok Context

Businesses in Bangkok face a particular challenge when choosing software tools. The range of vendors serving the Thai market has expanded considerably over recent years — both international platforms with local support and regional providers with country-specific capabilities. Navigating this landscape without a structured approach tends to produce decisions shaped by whoever made the most compelling presentation rather than by the organisation's actual operational requirements.

Khemloft was established to provide the structure that this process tends to lack. Our advisors have worked directly in technology operations and commercial roles within Bangkok-based organisations, which means we understand the practical constraints that matter: how IT and finance teams interact, what vendors typically propose versus what actually gets delivered, and where the common pressure points in software renewals tend to occur.

Our work is grounded in a simple discipline: establish criteria before looking at options, compare vendors consistently against those criteria, and document the reasoning behind the final recommendation. This approach produces decisions that can be explained and revisited — and reduces the likelihood of a purchase that seemed logical at the time but was never properly evaluated.

The three services we offer correspond to three distinct stages of the procurement process. A Tool Selection Session is suited to organisations that haven't yet defined what they need. Vendor Comparison Support is appropriate once a shortlist exists. The Technology Vendor Advisory relationship is designed for growing companies that benefit from having a consistent outside view on purchasing, renewals, and vendor performance throughout the year.
